Hitman 3 will be renamed World of Assassination and will merge the entire trilogy into one package

Hitman 3, the latest in IO Interactive’s line of sandbox stealth games, will be renamed “Hitman World of Assassination”. The change isn’t just cosmetic, though, as the previous games in the new trilogy – Hitman 1 and Hitman 2 – will also soon be packaged together to form one game. The update is expected to take effect on January 26 and aims to ease distribution and avoid confusion among new players about which edition to buy, as all game content is intertwined with DLCs and locations. Those who already own Hitman 3 will get a free upgrade to this new game on all major platforms.

Both Hitman 1 and Hitman 2 will soon be pulled from stores, with Hitman World of Assassination being the only available option to purchase. Essentially, these two changes will mean that all new players and existing HITMAN 3 owners will have the same basic content ownership. blog post is reading. The new pack will mainly be divided into two editions: a standard version, which includes the aforementioned trilogy, and a Deluxe pack. The former costs about $70/Rs. 3,299, while the latter gives access to three premium extensions – the Deluxe Pack, Seven Deadly Sins Collection, and H2 Expansion Access Pass – for around $30 (roughly Rs. 2,478).

“We want the experience for new players to be simple and concrete. We believe the above changes will achieve that,” the post adds. “The reason for this flexibility is that we know that many of you own certain games or DLCs but not others, and we don’t want to force anyone to (re)purchase what they already own.” On Steam, IO Interactive will implement the “complete the set” functionality for the three DLC packs in the Deluxe Edition. So, for example, if you own two of the three DLCs, you’ll only pay $10 (roughly Rs. 826) for the remaining ones. The prizes are distributed fairly.

After serving as an exclusive on the Epic Games Store for a year, Hitman 3 finally arrived on Steam in January last year and was greeted with mixed reviews. PC gamers, already miffed by the late launch window, were only outraged when they noticed the game was still selling for a full $60/Rs. 1,888 price point. Please note that the amount is only awarded to the basic edition, and to access the bonus content, one had to pay more. The Hitman trilogy is currently discounted on Steam as part of the annual winter sale on Rs. 1,154. The promotion ends tonight, January 5, at 11:30 PM IST.

All three Hitman games will converge on January 26 in Hitman World of Assassination on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series S/X.
