Watch: Shubman Gill Lifts Lid On Rishabh Pant-Urvashi Rautela Episode | Cricket

Rishabh Pant-Urvashi Rautela’s episode was quite the story on social media a few months ago, with both attacking each other with cryptic messages. It had started with the Bollywood actress revealing in an interview about “Mr RP” and it led to a series of Instagram posts and stories with cryptic messages for the other. And now Pant’s teammate, Shubman Gill, has opened the episode’s lid and revealed how his other teammates have reacted to it.

Earlier in August, Urvashi had said in an interview with Bollywood Hungama that a certain “Mr RP” had waited long and in vain to meet the actress at an event in New Delhi, eventually leaving “16-17 missed calls”. Pant had responded to the viral interview with a message stating “It’s funny how people lie in interviews for meager popularity and to make headlines. Sad how some people are so thirsty for fame and name. May God bless them” merapicachorhoBehen #Jhutkibhilimithotihai.” Although he later removed it.

The actress responded to Pant’s post with an Instagran story stating, “Chotu bhaiyaa should play batball. Main koyi munni nahi hoon badnam hone with young kiddo darling tere liyee #Rakshabandhan Mubarak ho #RPChotuBhaiyya#Cougarhunter #donttakeadvantageofasilentgirl #love #UrvashiRautela #UR1.” And she later deleted it too. Pant had again responded with cryptically “Don’t stress about what you can’t control” message.

Three months later, Pant’s teammate Gill cleared the air in the Pant-Urvashi saga during his conversation with Sonam Bajwa on the chat show ‘Dil Diyan Gallan’. Gill was asked how the team members had reacted to the saga and the Indian batsman replied, “There’s nothing on Rishab Pant’s part. He doesn’t get distracted by her activities. Actually, Urvashi wants someone to tease her.”

Both Gill and Pant are currently part of the ongoing New Zealand tour. The game opened with the three-game T20I series on Friday, although the opener in Wellington was wiped out by rain. The second game will be played on Sunday at the Bay Oval.
