Return of Shakib Al Hasan strengthens Bangladesh for India | Cricket news

DHAKA (Bangladesh): All-rounder Shakib Al Hasan is available next week for Bangladesh’s one-day three-game international series against a tour of India.
Shakib missed the final series against Zimbabwe in August and Bangladesh went on to lose the Twenty20 and ODI series.
Prior to the Zimbabwe series, Shakib was instrumental in Bangladesh’s first victory against South Africa in South Africa with a 64-ball 77. Bangladesh later sealed its first ODI series win on South African soil with 2 -1.
“Shakib’s return to the team will further strengthen our ODI squad,” chief selector Minhajul Abedin said on Thursday.
“India is a very strong team, but we have high hopes for our chance because we play at home. This team can challenge India.”
This will be India’s first bilateral series against Bangladesh since 2015, when the home team won 2-1. The teams follow with two tests.
The three ODIs are scheduled for December 4, 7 and 10. The first test is from December 14-18 and the second from December 22-26.
