India vs Australia, 2nd T20I: Preview, Live Streaming, TV Channel, Timing, Team News

Australia currently lead the three-game series 1-0 after a four-wicket win in the first game at Mohali. India has a lot to look at when starting their practice sessions.

Lack of consistency as an all round unit has let it down the last few games. It has been a while since the top order consisting of KL Rahul, skipper Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli fired in unison.

The pattern of one or two failed and the other clicked regularly.

It’s time they corrected this unfortunate pattern as they face two world-class teams, Australia and South Africa, before the 2022 ICC T20 World Cup.

The form of middle class players like Hardik Pandya and Suryakumar Yadav has been a boon to India this year and they would like to keep it that way.

Indian bowling has let them down since the last few of their forays, especially in death-overs.

It is in India’s best interest for Jasprit Bumrah to play eleven this time around to ease the pressure on pacesetter Bhuvneshwar Kumar, whose failures in death-overs since 2022 Asia Cup have been widely criticized.

Spinner Yuzvendra Chahal’s economy and lack of wickets is another concern. It will be interesting how much of a long rope he receives despite his lackluster run lately.

Harshal Patel’s return has been disappointing and he is looking forward to making it up in the second T20I. On the other hand, Australia has little to worry about compared to India.

Their strikes clicked in the 209-run chase during the first T20I in Mohali, allowing them to continue their second-highest T20I chase.

India will have to be careful with all-rounder Cameron Green, who immediately impressed by beating veteran Umesh Yadav by four in his first four deliveries as an opener, finishing with a well-made 61.

Wicketkeeper batter Matthew Wade and newcomer Tim David are hitting just as hard with their offensive at bat. Combined with the experience of Steve Smith, skipper Aaron Finch and Glenn Maxwell, the Australian batting unit looks unbeatable

It’s their bowling that Aussies should be a little concerned about because except for Nathan Ellis, everyone was going for runs and an economy percentage of over 7.

Green and Pat Cummins were the biggest culprits for Aussies last time, letting Men in Blue score 67 runs in the last five overs of the last game.

All in all, death overs bowling is Australia’s only concern at the moment. With two top teams, fans will no doubt be able to enjoy another great game of cricket.
