Ghana beat Swiss double in FIFA World Cup warm-up match | Football news

Ghana scored twice in the space of four minutes in the second half to secure a convincing 2–0 victory over Switzerland in their World Cup heat up Thursday in Abu Dhabi friendly.
Defender Mohammed Salisu broke the deadlock with a header from a poorly defended corner as Ghana took a 70-minute lead.
A run from Kamaldeen Sulemana four minutes later was blocked by Swiss goalkeeper Yann Sommer, but the ball surfaced for Antoine Semenyo to shoot in from close range.
Both countries used the game to prepare for their opening game at the World Cup in Qatar.
Ghana will take on Portugal in their Group H opener at Doha’s 974 Stadium next Thursday, while the Swiss will face Cameroon in their opening Group G match at Al Janoub Stadium in Al Wakrah the same day.
