A 25-year-old graduate, who was inspired by the Tamil film Thunivu, was caught by police in the Dindigul district of Tamil Nadu on January 25. He was caught trying to rob one of the branches of the Indian Overseas Bank. The accused identified as Kaleel Rahman is a resident of Begampur in Dindigul. He had taken out a loan from one of the branches of the Indian Overseas Bank and was looking for a way to settle it. Dindigul West Town Police have registered a case against Rahman under IPC Sections 393 (attempted to commit robbery), 394 (intentional harm in committing robbery), 397 (theft or assault with intent to cause death or serious injury) and 506 I (criminal harassment).
