Twitter user Pramit shared videos from the movie, sharing how he loved Baadshah’s “detective agency,” whose building is so chameleon-like in nature.
Shah Rukh Khan’s magic is unreal and that became evident with Pathaan’s blockbuster opening. In the early years, the superstar was part of films that are not only fun to watch but also stay evergreen. The 90s was the era of SRK movies – from Kal Ho Na Ho to Baadshah, every movie was a blockbuster. Twitter user Pramit took to the microblogging site after finishing the 1990s SRK viewing session. He shared footage from the film Baadshah while decoding the film. “Two thirds of this movie is SO funny. it’s like “don’t let them know your next move is ‘the movie,'” he wrote.
He also shared videos from the movie and talked about how he loved Baadshah’s “detective’s office,” whose building is so chameleon-like in nature. of places. and it’s all for a one minute joke,” he wrote.
The Twitter thread has now gone viral and most people agree with what is being said. Have a look at the thread:
Viewing session shah rukh khan from the 90s is over. 2/3 of this movie is SO funny. it’s like “don’t let them know your next move” the movie. the characters do and say such unexpected things that I had to rewind several times to hear if they really said what I think they said. pic.twitter.com/6tdyiblHWK— Pramit (@pramitheus) January 24, 2023
i also love how badshah’s “detective agency” building is so chameleon-like in nature. everything that looks like a wall is made of a building block where each face is constructed differently. things jump out of the sky. and it’s all for a one minute joke. pic.twitter.com/rmrntXInGE— Pramit (@pramitheus) January 24, 2023
the reason why the third act feels boring is because it’s an obvious rip-off from the striker, except that Shah Rukh plays both Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker. ab exam mein copy karke bhi to bacche number late thhe. toh I can applaud the effort. pic.twitter.com/7Oc0H4WCVA— Pramit (@pramitheus) January 24, 2023
but among all this chaos, baadshah manages to comment on Indian politics and how the machine will eat up seemingly well-meaning politicians. they should have done so many sequels to this with baadshah unknowingly exposing conspiracies and then solving them. i would have watched them. pic.twitter.com/J1K5ejTjAp— Pramit (@pramitheus) January 24, 2023
“Baadshah was fun. SRK looked like he was enjoying the movie as it wasn’t his usual romantic movies. But the last act didn’t fit right, should have been a straight up comedy,” one Twitter user wrote. Another person wrote, “This movie is hilarious and such a great improvement over Nick of Time. I can always watch this when it airs, so much fun.”
Meanwhile, SRK’s latest film Pathaan brought the whole country together as theaters turned into ‘dance clubs’ and the atmosphere was nothing short of celebratory as SRK returned to the big screen. Apart from Shah Rukh, the film, which also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, has already become the biggest ever release for a Hindi film in the history of Indian cinema, with 8,000 screens worldwide already showing the film and extra late night shows being added to meet public demand.
That’s the Shah Rukh Khan effect for you. Videos from theaters across the country are flooding social media, with people dancing and cheering to salute SRK back as he does it on screen.
