Ravindra Jadeja’s tweet after being detained by Chennai Super Kings is going viral

To put the speculation to rest, the Chennai Super Kings on Tuesday confirmed the name of all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja in their list of detained players ahead of the IPL mini-auction expected to be held in Kochi next month. All 10 franchises had until Tuesday to release/hold players for the auction.

There were rumors following the events of IPL 2022 that Jadeja could be leaving CSK for another franchise. He was appointed captain a few days before the season started, but after a horror start, MS Dhoni was reinstated as skipper, leading to speculation that all was not well.

Then there were reports that Jadeja had deleted his previous social media posts related to the CSK, further fueling the rumours.

Shortly after the announcement, Jadeja herself confirmed that ‘Everything is fine’ shared a screengrab of herself with Captain Dhoni on Twitter.

CSK’s official twitter account wrote “Eighth miracle to stay with us!” accompanied by a picture of a whistling Jadeja.

Meanwhile, the upcoming IPL season will most likely be the final of Dhoni’s storied career, after which he will retire from all forms of cricket. There are reports that BCCI could snare the legendary captain of India’s coaching staff to instill a fearless approach regarding their batting in T20Is.
