Padma Shri Awardee Haji Ghulam Rasool Khan is committed to preserving rare Jamawar artworks in Kashmir. He is a native of Amda Kadal in the city of Srinagar and a well-known craftsman and experts in Jamawar Artwork. Khan has a specific workshop in his hometown where he used to do his unique patchwork of Pashmina shawls. He also has some rare scarf masterpieces. Ghulam Rasool Khan produced several other priceless Jamawar designs for which he received several state and national awards. He received appreciation from all corners, including the government sector. Ghulam Rasool was also awarded the Padma Shri Award in Delhi last year. He was praised by the Prime Minister of India for his rare works of art. Pashmina shawls have their own importance and are so famous all over the world for its purity and unique artwork.
