Citing it as a cause that will further strengthen India-US relations, US Embassy Public Diplomacy Counselor for Cultural and Educational Affairs Anthony Miranda expressed satisfaction on November 14 at the increase in the number of Indian students enrolling for the US opts for higher education with 19 percent more than last year. “We are delighted to see that the number of Indian students who chose the US for higher education increased by 19 percent last year. This is a true testament to the value Indian students see in American education,” said the Public Diplomacy Counselor. “We are concerned about the safety of our students, whether they are American or foreign students. Universities take security seriously. Students can always alert the authorities if something is wrong or suspicious,” he added.
