Working from home became the new normal after the global COVID-19 pandemic forced people to stay indoors.

Before 2020, the concept of working from home was unknown to most people around the world. However, after the global COVID-19 pandemic forced people to stay indoors, a new concept emerged. Working from home became the new normal, and while people have returned to their workplaces after the threat of the pandemic eased, the concept of working from home has remained. Many companies still allow employees to work from outside the workplace. This trend has fans and haters alike, and some feel it has been taken too far because some people lack awareness of their surroundings while working on their laptops.

Today we show you an example of the same where a hilarious photo shows a groom working on his laptop in his wedding mandap. You would expect someone to get a leave of absence from work at least on the day of their wedding, but it seems that this person is either too much of a workaholic or unfortunately didn’t get any leave. A photo shared by an Instagram account named ‘Calcutta’ shows a wedding taking place in the city of Kolkata where the groom is sitting in the mandap.

The priest consummating the wedding blesses the groom while the groom himself is buried deep within his laptop. It’s not clear exactly what he’s doing on the laptop, but of course it’s assumed he’s doing some official work.

The photo is aptly titled, “When ‘working from home’ takes you to the next level.” The photo has garnered over 10,000 likes so far and many users could identify with the photo regarding the pressures of their workplace. On the other hand, many also considered it a “toxic culture” where one has no break from work even on their wedding day.
