While attending the annual convocation of the Tamil Nadu in Chennai, Union Rights Minister Kiren Rijiju said on Dec. 2 that Indian courts and legal systems should have regional languages in curricular activities. “Indian courts and the legal system should include regional languages in their curricular activities. I have spoken to the Chief Justice, senior judges of the Supreme Court and all the Chief Justices of High Courts that we should give priority to local languages in the future,” said Union Law Min Kiren Rijiju. “In Tamil Nadu, we will take pride in having the Tamil language at the center of the Madras High Court and all district courts and subordinate courts of Tamil Nadu,” he added.
