Cristiano recently played alongside his son Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. in an ad for Nike. The ad also features a young Cristiano Ronaldo wearing the Portuguese shirt number ’17’.

The clip shows all three of them volleying the ball, followed by the “You’re up” pose. The 37-year-old has certainly made headlines following his somewhat rocky spell at Manchester United, which has now officially come to an end.

Ronaldo made his senior international debut with the ‘Nr. 17’ shirt against Kazakhstan, which indicates the importance of that number.

The caption on his Instagram post read, “Ever imagined seeing CR17, CR7 and CR Jr. on the field together?!”

The Portuguese striker will represent his country at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. While Ronaldo became a sensation in his first spell at the Manchester club, his second spell was a bit of a rollercoaster.

Having played under three managers in his second stint at Old Trafford, Ronaldo had some success under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer but endured difficult stints under former manager Ralf Rangnick and Erik ten Hag.

The former Real Madrid player has had a somewhat tough season at Old Trafford this season, recording just three goals and two assists in 16 appearances in all competitions.

That was largely due to his lack of playing time and his contract with Man Utd was terminated by mutual consent on Tuesday. His fiery interview with Piers Morgan briefly put him in the spotlight for not really holding back.

Ronaldo remains the only Man Utd player to score more than 30 goals in a season in Premier League history. This shows what kind of impact he can have on the field when things go well.

The veteran will now try to leave all those distractions behind as Portugal take on Ghana in the first game of their campaign on November 24 at 9:30pm IST. Portugal is seeded in Group H of the 2022 FIFA World Cup alongside South Korea and Uruguay.

This group is stronger than it seems and Ronaldo hopes that his team can start the campaign well against Ghana. The 37-year-old striker has won numerous accolades for club and country in his illustrious career, but nothing beats getting your hands on the World Cup at this stage of your career.
