Aslam Inamdar hands Puneri Paltan victory over Jaipur Pink Panthers

Puneri Paltan delivered an exemplary performance beating Jaipur Pink Panthers 32-24 in their Pro Kabaddi League match on Tuesday.

Aslam Inamdar’s 13 points proved to be the big difference between two sides who battled for control throughout the match.

The two teams combined raid for raid and tackle for tackle for most of the opening period. Paltan’s Inamdar was prolific in the early stages, his speed and agility alarming the Pink Panthers’ defenses with every attack.

Soon his attacks began to mount and in the last five minutes of the first half, Paltan began to retreat. In the closing seconds of the first half, they accomplished the first All Out of the evening by going into halftime with a 17-11 lead.

The Pink Panthers came roaring into the game in the second period, the raiding duo of Arjun Deshwal and Rahul Chaudhari suddenly landed all their attacks and put enormous pressure on the seasoned Paltan defence.

But with everything lurking, the big guns of the Paltan gathered. First a Super Tackle by Gaurav Khatri knocked Deshwal out of the equation, then almost immediately another, this time by Mohammad Nabibaksh, knocked out Chaudhari. From staring at an All Out, the Paltan suddenly had an eight point lead.

From then on, Fazel Atrachali never let his team lose focus as it continued to pick up crucial points, kept the Pink Panthers an arm’s length away and ultimately denied them even a consolation point from the game.
