Sushmita Sen is just amazing. Whether it’s her aerial training videos or work updates, we love everything about her. Don’t we? Oh, and now the actress is back with a live session on Instagram. As always, the former Miss Universe has happily answered all the questions. One of the biggest highlights of the session was when a fan asked the actress to share her thoughts on Miss Universe 2021 Harnaaz Sandhu’s sartorial tribute. For those who don’t know, Harnaaz, for her “final time as reigning Miss Universe”, wore a dress with images of Sushmita Sen and Lara Dutta, who won the title in 1994 and 2000 respectively. Harnaaz crowned her successor R’Bonney Gabriel, from USA, at the Miss Universe 2022 finals in New Orleans. Sharing her thoughts on the “beautiful” tribute, Sushmita said, “Yes, I saw her dress. I think it’s a beautiful tribute. I’m waiting to give her a hug in person to thank her for it. Because she wore himself on such an important walk and a moment…heritage from his country.Seeing Lara [Dutta] and me there with her was like ‘yes’. So Harnaaz, if you watch, the tightest hug is waiting for you personally, my dear. You made us proud and continue to make us proud. Thank you.”
Sushmita Sen shared the video with the caption, “I love you guys! Thank you for gifting my life!”
Lara Dutta has also written a note for Harnaaz Sandhu’s special gesture at the grand event. Responding to Harnaaz’s post where she spoke about what the dress meant to her, the actress said, “May you always shine bright like the diamond that you are. Stay the humble, amazing, strong self you are. Here’s looking at your child. Good luck and good luck with all that is yet to come.”
Harnaaz Sandhu, who won the title of Miss Universe in the year 2021 at the Universe Dome in Eilat, Israel, wrote in her special post, “It is my purest honor and gratitude to represent my incredible country at Miss Universe. For my final walk as Reigning Miss Universe could I can’t thank @officialsaishashinde and her team enough for making this dream dress come true! A huge tribute to these two incredible women from India. You have made our country proud since becoming Miss Universe. Sushmita Sen and Lara Dutta, I love both of you very much…this one is for you and India.”
